Perseids- INT and ADV Combined Night Drive

It was great to see the turnout for the multi level Night Drive planned to catch the perseid meteor shower.

The Intermediate and Advance groups were merged for convoy management purposes and myself, Isham and Mark did partial leads during the trip.

I did the portion from Barbeque Point to Gatch and chose to do a winding zig zag track. The level was intermediate and all the drivers demonstrated good control of their cars.

My lead was followed by Ishams and Marks and I request both to post their reports here as well.

We met Kevin's Newbie convoy at Nagrah and spent quite some time enjoying the breeze hoping to see some meteor showers.

Mark and Isham spent the time flexing their suspensions in and around the Nagrah dunes. We headed back after 10 pm. I chose the area to the west of typical Nagrah to Barbeque Point route for return.

This area was interesting with plenty of flowing dune faces and a steady uphill climb. After a couple of second attempts and a recovery, the convoy made back safely.

It was a nice trip with very capable drivers. The cool breeze helped despite the humidity.
