I bought an ARB twin compressor a couple of years ago, and it has been great. Very fast inflation. Last couple of months inflating has been taking much longer than before.
One of the o-rings in the quick connect coupler failed (I could hear the air leaking out) and I had to replace it (very hard to find as it is an odd size and shape, still, I found one at "Golden Seal", if you need an o-ring, they have everything).
Anyway, after replacing the o-ring, the quick connect sealed again perfectly.
When inflating my tyres yesterday, I noticed that it was still taking a very long time despite no leaks.
When I let the compressor run when it was not connected to the tyre the air flow was really weak and slow. The rpm on the compressor seemed normal and I could not hear any leaks anywhere. The car engine was running so it had sufficient power.
Any ideas why the pressure would be so weak?
It is still under warranty, so I am taking it back to ARB, but I would still like to know what the issue is.
Cheers, Al

ARB Twin Compressor - Something has gone wrong
When this happened to mine the compressor was working but one of the pistons had snapped so only half the compressor is providing air.

ARB Twin Compressor - Something has gone wrong
Took it to ARB, they said that something was loose and now that they have tightened it, all should be fine. Well guess what... it isn't. ARB are telling me that I can expect the compressor to be less efficient over time. Now it is about 50% slower than when new. Has anyone else experienced this sort of deterioration over time? Cheers Al

Interesting, my ARB just died on me. I haven’t had time to trouble shoot it yet
Did you ever get your problem resolved?

Re: ARB Twin Compressor - Something has gone wrong
Hey Al,
I think you should consider regular Mintanince once a while even if it’s not broken, when running the compressor should be considering the weather temperature as well also Ventilation could be on of the common issues some of the guys have it under the seat which becomes extremely hot and causes poor performance.
If it’s still under warranty it should work as per standards, otherwise you may claim a replacement as I believe.
Tip: You could use the Coolient fan comes in PCs it’s sheap and easy to connect.
Cheers

Re: ARB Twin Compressor - Something has gone wrong
ARB rebuilt my compressor, one piston was busted the other seal worn out. They also replaced the motor controls. Works great now. I will run a timing test to inflate my 315/70 r 17 later
