Welcome to www.ABUDHABI4x4.com, about our club!
Dear Offroaders,
In behalf of www.ABUDHABI4x4.com I welcome you all to our club.
For those who didn’t get yet the idea of our club, basically, we are a growing 4WD club with a strong family focus and welcome new members.
As a club, we encourage and foster the safe use of your off road vehicle in different terrain. The club offers trips from advanced to novice, and offers driver training for those getting started.
The advantages of membership are many. They include meeting new people with the same interests making new friends. One of the biggest advantages of membership is that you can learn important skills in the company of experienced four wheel drivers.
We welcome all types of 4 Wheel Drive Vehicles; you will be assured of great fun, and a wide mix of other vehicles in our club. From purpose built competition cars, to family 4wds we've got them all.
We hold regular social activities, day trips, night-drives, early-birds, as well as Weekend camping trips. Every trip is rated so that you will know what to expect.
These trips are led by experienced trip leaders (Marshals) who can advise you on safe driving techniques and lend a hand in the event that you need assistance. You will learn the proper recovery methods in the event of a mishap (such as getting stuck).
Potential new members are required to come on to one of our weekly meeting to ensure that you'll be comfortable with our club before hitting the sand.
I would like also to remind you to register and join our forums to stay connected with our growing community online and to check out amazing pictures during our trips.
I'll see you all soon

Good stuff!
At last an off roading club in Abu Dhabi, discovered it yesterday after seeing a sticker on the back of a black Jeep in AD Mall. Look forward to getting out and about with the club in the future

Thank you for the warm welcome!
Good Day all,
I am new to Abu Dhabi, having been in Saudi for five years previously (Yanbu Al-Sinaiyah). I went to several outings there, however, always with experienced guides. I consider myself a "Newbie" off-roader and am definitely interested in taking driving lessons.
I have a Toyota Fortuner, 6 cyl.; hopefully it will perform adequately.
My intent is to enjoy the natural sights available. I did visit the Rub Al-Khali while in Saudi, would certainly enjoy visiting the eastern end here near Liwa.
Looking forward to meeting you all and to receiving your assistance.
Regards,
Joe Woodard "JDIII"

Hey Joe welcome to the BB familiy (best and biggest) in the Middle East.
Your Toyota Fortuner, 6 cyl. will be ok for the Newbie trip next Friday. It's the right trip and grade to feel the sand under the wheels - and in the car.
Register in the Newbie Trip Forum and I look forward to see you on Friday

Afternoon and hello everyone,
heard about the club from a colleague who attended the last newbie event in his Jeep. I am ready to learn how to do it properly after getting stuck in Liwa on my first trip off road.
Will my 2008 Expedition make it over a newbies training day or am I destined to have to buy a wrangler for the wife who naggs constantly about wanting one ?
Should add that I need the expy to take me to work the next day !!
Regards
Sean

Sean, welcome to the club and to our family ... First offroad trip was Liwa and with a Ford too .. That's too much, we allow new offroaders to join Liwa after min 6 months training in the normal desert
You are most welcome to join any of our trip (I am making an ANIT - Absolute Newbies Instruction trip on 9th of Dec),
Your car will go only for newbie trips ... Don't say no to your wife, but my advice, buy the wrangler for your self and to keep her quite get her a BMW Convertible
