for the birdseye maps, is it better to subscribe for satellite imagery or contour maps?

I am also in for the training. I can help with Maps too - just got the 2015.10 City Navigator for Middle East which I can share at the training. A good place to look for help and downloads is

http://gpsunderground.com/forum/gps-nav ... s-systems/

where you can find tutorials as well as latest map downloads. It is a bit tricky but once you understand the way Garmin structure their folders and limitations on each device it is pretty easy. Look forward to the session.

sorry for being off topic, but I have a Montana that has damage in the battery compartment from corroded batteries. Does any one know where I can get repairs done? I Prefer Abu Dhabi.

Thanks,

This is the battery compartment of my Garmin. I left a set of batteries in the unit for a long time and the batteries produced a bunch of corrosion. I tried to remove the corrosion with a toothbrush, and the plastic behind one of the battery contacts broke away, so now there is no support remaining for that contact. Also the unit will not power on even with an external power supply. I hope this can be repaired for less than buying a new GPS.

Moral of the story, never leave batteries in a stored electrical device...

AMIT in Mina will fix it ... Worst case scenario (if your GPS is out of warranty), they will replace it for you for half the price ... I just did the same last week and got a brand new Montana for AED 850 as a replacement for a damaged one (touch screen was not working and I was out of warranty).

My Garmin is definitely out of warrantee, if I could get 50% off on a new Montana, I would be very happy! Thanks for the info Iguana, I will go see what they say!

Happy Tracks,

Randy
