Ah. Mac OS. Never used it

In GMTK you just need to point the the gmap folder and install (not a file).

Did you get home OK?

Hi Dave, or anyone who knows,

Does the fence run right up to the no go area at:

N24° 21.477' E55° 16.148'

and

N24° 19.800' E55° 10.859'

effectively blocking the match road?

It looks like it does on the map but not 100% sure.

Regards,
Lee.

Hi Lee,

Hope you are well.

Yes is does block the road (I had a nasty surprise and only just stopped in time the first time I came across this fence).

If you bang those co-ords into google earth, you can see the fence is across the road.

However, there is a sort of gate where you can peel the fence back and pass through.

Dave

That's reassuring, so basically I can come out of the dunes near the big bowl, get onto the gatch road, turn right and drive towards Al Khatim/Al Khazna and get all the way to the end of the no go area.

Thanks,
Lee.

Hello,

Amazing work!

Is there any instructions how to prepare such customized maps?

Thanks

Great work by Desertdawg. Thanks!

If I can make a suggestion to Dave, or one of the moderators? It would be really nice if the documents created by Dave and others could be put into a locked thread just make them easier to find. Now they are buried somewhere in 3 pages of comments about them in this thread. Is there a special place for useful documents like these to be stored to make them easy to find?

Thanks again for sharing your work Dave!
