Yippee, I fit the iPad in FJ.

I loaned a GPS Receiver and tried the GPS in a large screen, it works.

I can now scroll through all of my songs easily, use the internet with my 3G, use the application as required and if I am not using it, my nephew can play games from the passenger seat.

Where did you get the bracket from and what is the cost.

I love the iPad in the car as a great GPS tool and Internet access.

I got the LCD Table Mount from a shop in Noodle Mart/Dragon Mart that sells Brackets, Wall Mounts and Stands for TV's/LCD's - this one is a Table Stand for LCD Screen, fabricated a bracket from the seat bolt till the side of the 4X4 gear knob. Once that was done, I screwed the Table Stand Bracet to the Fabricated Bracket.

The chrome rod looks biggish but for our sort of drives, we need something strong and firm.

The iPad holder is available in every mall, I however, used the 3M double sided tape to firm the bond between the holder and the iPad.

Hope this helps.

The iPad uses MotionX GPS, works on wifi and 3G, and it has caching, this means that when at home, (if no 3G is available) select the intended area and the maps get cached, after this we are free to use it as a GPS with or without 3G.

Using MotionX GPS for a while now, it hasn't failed me yet, well, nothing is as good as a 276C, not even a Montana. If not the 276C, I would rather use the MotionX GPS on the iPhone or any android phone.
