Window Tinting

Hello,

This is a general question about tinting my windows....
How much am I allowed to tint them and where is the best place.....
In case Jo reads this....I will do it 8)

you have soo many options

starting from 100 to 5000dhs.

100 for taiwanese brands that would fade in about a year and doesnt really reflect or protect from anything
to
3m and vkool brands that would cost more and more

percentage of tinting shouldnt be more than 30%

Dont i have to take it off anyway after a year when they make the check at the traffic section?
Or is it legal now for expats to have tints?
Oh and another thing.... Where can i make the custom stickers for the car?

if its not more than 30%, no u dont have to take it off.
you can find stickers shop in al salam st. most of us are dealing with a shop in there called underground ads.

No Silliwalks, 30% is legally allowed .. But take care if you put 35% you will pay 10,000 Dirhams fine .. so it's only 30%. No need to rake it off after registration.

I advice you with a place called Harakat in Salam Street, they will charge you around AED 450 for tinting sides and rear. They gave you 5 years Warrenty on the color and scratched and they do a great job. Their tint reduce the heat by 70% (As they claim) ...

They are located near that strange 3 wheel bikes rental place ... beside them is also a place called Underground where you can make any sticker you want ... They have AD4x4 stickers .. just let the guy search for "Jeep" or "AD4x4" in his computer
