Re: What did you modify in your car?
Hey Colonel, I have not yet tried the shocks but will do so during Friday's jamboree. The only thing I realized they are far stiffer for road driving than the original bilestins that came with the lift kit, but I guess its the same with Kings also. Maybe someone else might be able to input on shock comfort. Will update this thread with my experience after the jamboree. I got them from Mebar in dubai and tuned by them.

Hey colonel, i tried the jeep at the JJ and I'm happy to say the shocks performed as they were supposed to and made me more confident to hit the dunes without worry. They were comfortable on sand and didn't care much after the Jamboree on the road comfort. I hardly felt any bumps on sand .

Re: What did you modify in your car?
did a oil/filter change for my non stock engine...
cleaned and reoiled my spectre hot air intake ...
and while the Jeep was on the jack had a close look at some things:
- a new clunk from the rear going over speed bumps turns out to be a simple exhaust hanger torn ... phew
- a more pronounced clunk/knock from the front turns out to be .... a completely missing bushing at the steering damper axle side mount ... yay ... simple as well. (Thanks Amin! The new Express Lane rockzzz)
BUT:
rear lower CA axle side mount (driver side) has one ear rolled up (till fixing bolt) like a sheet of paper ...
can't remember having hit anything solid recently
and my LS1 has a leaking crank front seal (or so) ... need to watch oil consumption.

Re: What did you modify in your car?
my ACDelco conventional battery spilled out after last dune surf trip and died last thursday (after only 8 months)
(of course the bill is buried somewhere after my move )
so ... the next best AGM battery available here was the Optima Redtop ... curious if it will last longer

Re: What did you modify in your car?
Well, I think it is time to revive this topic!
As I said in a separate post, at the top of my wish list for my F150 for a while now was the 295/60R20 and Fox Stage 1 lift kit. After keeping it stock for 70,000km, it was time to change the stock Scorpion STR 275/55R20 tyres and good reason to finally take the plunge.
Lift - Fox Stage 1 Lift - it actually just levels it out by raising the front by 2.5", but includes a set of Fox shocks as an improvement over the OEM shocks.
I couldn't find the 295/60R20 tyres locally so settled with the 305/55R20 Cooper ATR3 in conjunction with the lift.
Overall VERY happy with the result.
Combined lift front - 3.2"
Combined lift rear - .6"
The front now easily clears most climbs or sharp drops and the road handling is as solid as a rock (for a 6000lb truck). No rubbing either and the tyres easily clears fenders on turns.
I couldn't resist to stop for this photo for comparison.
Not really that obvious, top left is before and bottom right after. Front coilover before install. Coilover after install. Thanks to Ramy4x4 for a job very well done.

What did you modify in your car?
As for my FJ, it is an extreme version so already ran on 285/70/r17, so no need for bigger wheels.
Replaced the shocks with Radflo stage 4....big difference ride height leveled off between front and back
Installed a speedboost from Ramy since the pickup can be a bit slow at times, this does help....
Started off with a KC light bar which went under the bumper, replaced this with one that went through the bump...far better but required a slight modification to the bumper grille. The new light bar is from fancy autos but it needed some modification to fit the FJ
2x90 watt vision X light cannons
2x50 watt vision X light cannons
Mebar fitted the shocks and did an excellent job.

What did you modify in your car?
Just dropped off the Rhino at Karmel with a 5m roll of LED strip lights, Fire Extinguisher mount, Some Drake Stainless Steel replacement bolts, Drake Hood latch and Stebel horn. All small things, but can't wait to try that horn.
