JKU 2011 Tuning - Reprogramming

Post by DesertDriver »

Hi,

Does anybody has experience tuning a 2011 JKU?

The car has the 3.8l engine which is slightly underpowered. My objectives are:
- faster throttle responsie
- more torque at low and mid
- more hp at high revs
- programm the ECU for 91 octane instead of default 87 octane fuel

Pleased to hear your ideas.

Gerard

Hey Gerard

I have a jk09 with the 3.8. I've purchased the flashpaq tuner - set to 95 octane and set the speedometer with the larger tires, installed a CAI and changed the catback. I've noticed better throttle response and more torque in the dunes.

Try that for a start.

Regards

Thanks for all feedback given. I prefer to do a custom tune by an experienced and knowledgeable mechanic. I do not plan to modify airfilters etc, the experiences shared on this is simply to mixed to make a good judgement.

Will try to visit prestige first. Who has used them before?
