Exhaust shield

My JK exhaust heat shield came loose during a trip last week. I've read that some owners just remove it instead of reattaching it. Any advice? Also my drivers seat lock is broken so the seat moves slightly on speed humps and dunes. Anybody know of a garage in Mussafah that can fix these for a reasonable price? Dealer wants too much and car is off warranty

The manufacturer would not add parts to your car unless they were necessary. Leaving the heat shield off will no doubt expose another, perhaps critical, component to that heat. Put it back on.
