Post by Andries12 »

My 2006 tj was converted from cluck fan to electrical fan before I bought it. It look like there is a problem with the speed of the fan it is not cooling the engin sufficient. Now that is getting hotter the heat guage keep on going over 105

Any help or suggestions

Regards

I think the 4.0 inline engine (is that in a 2006 Tj?) would have both a mechanical fan and an electrical fan? Are both working?

You can try to have the wiring redone so that the electrical fan is always on (bypass thermostat), and worthwhile to have radiator and coolant system checked, ) flushed and replace coolant.

I had a jeep GC with same engine and I couldn't really fix it to manage summer here well after trying various things - was best not to get stuck in traffic on a hot day or use the AC in the desert :)
