Land Cruiser ON road tyres - recommendations?

Post by Escape »

Hi all, after 40,000km, I need to replace the tyres on my wife’s Land Cruiser.

I would like to get good ON road tyres as I am not allowed to drive it off road!

Has anyone got any recommendations? In my experience, the Dunlop tyres that come standard are not very good.

Thanks in advance. Cheers, Al

Yokohama geolandar AT/S are very good on road and not bad for a easy off-road trip ( camping, newbie even intermediate) and not very expensive

my experience is bit different, I used to have them in my FJ (Dunlop AT 22) and they were great on road and good off road, I have done with them 40 k without any issue, recently challenged them and got the cooper At3.

I would go with Grizzly for the Yokohama Geolander, they are great.

Geolander are good and quite cheap as well, if only for road use Michelin latitude or pirelli scorpion may be better, but more expensive..

Land Cruiser ON road tyres - recommendations?

Post by BBQBear »

I have the scorpion atr tires. They are expensive, and they are great both on and off road. My buddy has the 275/70/17 geolanders and loves them both on and off road and they are about half the price. If I could find geolanders in the size I needed them I would have got them.

Dof daily drive Both YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER HTS and the COOPER AT3 been used by the club members and all feedback is great about them, Michelin Latitude is good but expensive, its your choice and budget, check this link as Qariouty is selling it now with good price to the club members

Hi All,

Thanks for the great feedback it sounds like I wont go too far wrong if I get the YOKOHAMA GEOLANDER HTS, Michelin Latitude or Pirelli Scorpion. Basically it is going to come down to price.

Has anyone had any bad experiences with these tires, particularly with regard to noise or speed?

Cheers, Al

Land Cruiser ON road tyres - recommendations?

I had land cruisers and from experience Michelin is the best and will last you more than 40k easily with tire rotation. If your budget allows, go for it.
