Night lights : side or bar

Hi everyone,

So I am looking to buy some external night lights for my JK. I will eventually get two LED lights mounted by the mirrors and one C20 light bar mounted in the front between the headlights.

My question is, which should I get first, what is more effective? I don't have the money to do both at once.

Comments please.

it depends on the power of each type
more power more light

in general the higher the light the better it is
so ill recommend the mirror ones, again if same power of the
nose lights

to get the ideal combination you need 2 spot lights and 2 driving lights
spots for long range and driving for short range wider angle

my 2 fils
put the long range up on the mirrors and the driving one in front

Brian all depends on your budget, put the windscreen one its cheaper for now (long range/ spot)
if you have extra money install the Driving (spread) on the front bumper if you are buying the LED bar

Basically, get as many lights as you can and act as a guiding system for the airport !!

I think the translation is :

Rigid Industries (FTW = for the win, ie, those are fab !!)
Front, side, back, under...not sure where under is.

I like my set up which I got from Ramy.

One each side mounted on the frame of the windscreen above the side mirrors.
One on the bonnet but this took a bit of getting use to as it sticks up by a couple of inches.

It depends of your budget.
I got the ARB LED night lights (32LEDs) two weeks ago (one Flood and one Spot) and they are incredibly good. It's all you need - and for me, looks better than a light bar.
However, they are on the pricier side....

Brian,
my ten cents.
I got two on the front bumper first, which are great when you are going in a straight line, but it was enlightening when I put the driving lights on the windscreen. I could finally see to the side which is great for confidence and not driving into a big dark patch to the side of the car!
It's also important to pick the spread of the beam of light. My bumper lights were supposed to be a mix of spot and flood (but reality was not much spread). I got Rigid D2 driving LEDs on the screen, and they rocked!
good luck assimilating all the input, to confuse you into a decision.
cheers, Nigel

Thank you for this forum as I am studying the opportunity to put night lights.

I have no intention of changing my basic stock front JKU sport bumper and wonder if putting lights on them is fine.

Thanks in advance.
