yeah ... turbo charged Jimny is not "budget" anymore ... LOL.
and because those small engines needed a "replacement" regularly after those rpm orgies ... LIWA team swapped their Jimnys with Pentastar JKs when they came out (quite some time ago). Btw most LIWA team LIWA videos are from 2009
If a Jeep cherokee XJ is not "powerful" enough I would look at a well maintained Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ (-98) with 5.2 V8 or one of the rare 98 Limited with 5.9 V8 ... nice about them is that they are similar in weight and clearances to the XJ and lots of suspension components are similar to the TJ's and they have a huge aftermarket for enhancements
