I know I have somehow hit something which has turned off the abs/traction control systems in my car. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take the car to a shop?

if your truck is for desert only, don't fix it, anyhow you are turning all those off when offroadingRizvi wrote:I know I have somehow hit something which has turned off the abs/traction control systems in my car. Can I fix this myself or do I need to take the car to a shop?
Rgds,
Rizvi
but take care on-road from and to the desert
if its your daily car, then fix it by yourself if you know
exactly whats wrong and you have the right tools and
place to do so, if not then call your Garage

It might be the fuse ... Check it .... Maybe it is loose or just need to be replaced .... Or just have some sand on it ... Check it while the car is turned off and the key is out of the car ... Then start your engine, drive for 3 min, if it is still on, then go to the agency.
Check your car, maybe u have a kill switch ... If it is on just turn it off ... Same proceedure

It could also be on if you hit something hard whilst driving making your alignment wrong
When driving straight which way does your jeep logo face on the steering wheel? If it's anything other than straight across reading correctly left to right then your steering is out and you need to get your wheels aligned.

Most likely what Sarah said, just get your steering lined up properly again and you should be fine. Just make sure nothing down there got bent or is damaged from the hit. What did you hit by the way ?

also check the ABS sensors of each wheel,
if the electrical plug / wire is damaged, loose or out of its place
it will cause this
good luck

your car is under warranty (JK 14), so just go to WM.
