Where can I get a Flagstick?

Is there anywhere in Abu Dhabi I can get a fibreglass flagstick and mount for my Wrangler or do I have to order one online? I have tried all of the shops on Al Salam street but they only have car aerials. Thanks, Mal :thankyou:

You need to get fishing rod and attach it to the spare tire carrier.

you can temporarily use a fishing rod as khiwi said. you can get them from the fishing accessories shop in the tourist club area just next to MR. Bakers. a 5 Meter rod will cost around 35 DH Only

Khaiwi, I have seen many of the guys with these and they are very effective because of the height, and I think it is a very important safety issue that we should all adopt. If I was back home with proper tools and my workshop I could rustle up some sort of mount for this but unfortunately I don,t have access to any of this here, are there any workshops that you know of which could fix the mounting bracket, Thanks. The Suzukie quad bike shop in 4th sreet(turn right at Harly Davidson showroom) have rods+flags. The length is about 2m and cost DH170-00.

Mal Adiga & my self use fishing rod (carbon fiber 4.5m or fiberglass 5.0m) take the one without metal rings we bought it from Dragon Mall in Dubai, next time i ll show u how to easily mounted with spare tyre, :iagree: I m with u its a safety thing we all need to use specially in the high dunes

You can call Sami (Jeep) our friend, he have proper ones like the one I have .. It is a bit expensive actually (AED 270) but it's Good so call him on 050 7700252 if you are interested

Malcolm you can get the glass suction handle from dragon mall & use it as flag carrier. It will cost you 35 Dirhams. The same as Abo Omar doing for his flag :4wheeldrive:

I used a car anteena and took off some parts and bought base for it from al salam street but you have to be creative to make one, let me know if you need help i will glad to help.
