Photo attachment

Can some one help me how to reduce photo size to less than 2mb as most of my photos are ranging between 3mb and 5mb and I am unable to make any attachment to the gallery.

Just upload it to the gallery, it will reduce automitcally

right click on photo and go to edit and just resize it and save and then uplaod to site

I am trying for the last 2 days with no success I expected that size is the problem since it was mentioned on the top of the page that maximum attachments are 8mb and single attachment should not exceed 2mb and it seams with my new camera photos are coming in bigger size. I will try the recommendation of Drive_with_eyes_shut and update you.
