When I came to the UAE in December 2004 I wanted exploring the desert. I bought a BMW X5 but during 18 month I had no time to event think of driving in the desert.
After I was dismissed I changed the car, bought a LC and made the first experience in the desert (I got to know the police in Sharjah).
A friend in Gamco told me about the club and that Adiga (our famous FIMA) is a very active member in this club. Adiga called me (many times) inviting me to join a trip. :bravo: :bravo:
So Heidi and me joined a Sundowner trip lead by Jo and had Adiga our “private” Marshal. Well, you know the rest of the story. My life changed, I’m addicted to the desert, love the family and my Heidi does not tell me any longer “Suitti you are crazy”!

AD4X4
I am working with bulldozer in the same company and I heard about his trips to the desert so one time I asked him about the desert he advised me to join AD4X4, He told me you will really enjoy it , He registered for me and I made my first trip in musaffah by the end of Mar 2007.

Googled it!
Was in fact looking for some off roading lessons, advanced courses and things of that nature. And was also looking for a club based in Dubai. Well, did find a couple in Dubai, but didn't look as friendly or as active...and then stumbled upon AD4x4!
First couple of days went without registering, lurked around, read up on all the interesting articles. And then decided my search was over, and decided to join.
Enough reading for now, waiting for my ride to come in and then the action begins!

I wanted to find a club near by where i live so i googled for muscat clubs nothing interesting then I decided to check Dubai and UAE as a whole..Found some other forum and from there Iguana linked me to here.
The reason of me not finding this is that some proxys where blocked apparently mine or Oman's was one of them Thanks for the chair man for solving this problem.
If you're thinking about advertising for the club i would recommend Gulf news since it covers all the gulf.
Cheers.

Nice thread WIldFire )
I came to know about the club through a very good friend and colleague Mr. Waleed Sharaan. We were selected to work for a major project and were in the same team. Waleed knew Islam, and from there Waleed made me join the club saying it was really nice, and had extremely amazing people in it.. Then there was the start with no ending...
Am glad that am a part of such a wonderful 4x4 family with amazingg people and drivers...
Hope we continue for as long as possible..
Regards
