Discussion: JK VS JKU

As i'm looking for a JK 3.8 Automatic, i start considering buying a JK Unlimited (4 doors) and was thinking if anyone did the transition before me and whats their experience, regret, happy, offroad car handling, power, fuel consumption ..... etc

i love how the JKU look after modifications, better than JK.

You will have enough space for everything - your kids are older now and you need space.

More stable on the road and offroad as well

Jk is shorter base so better for playing - but JKU is much stable and safer

As you mentioned you are looking for 3.8, i would recommend you to stay with JK due to the weight lost, more flexible or what we call "fun". 3.8 and 4 doors you will always regret why not did I squeeze a bit more and get 3.6.

Pentastar= JKU all the way.

I totally agree, had 7 2 doors wranglers in total and lately was my penta 2012 JK but had to sell it 2 years back due to work travel to dubai daily.
I'm running a bit low budget so 08 -09 JK/JKU will fit my pocket.
