the Cheshire cat is looking for a new storyteller...
we are taking about a Grand Cherokee WJ 2004, with the V8 4.7l highout put engine delivering 265HP for a weight of 1826kg and a torque of 400N/m, which come only with the Overland. As Standard come also the 3 skid plates below, and rock rails on the side... And of course, it is fully loaded. Reaching 210,000k.
It also comes with the Quadradrive automatic transmission, which provide 3 automatic diff lock... so if ou have only one tire with grip, you are sure the power will go there!
Anyway, all you need to know here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310/ult ... e-1271979/
to be clear, this is the best car I had for the sand! super powerfull, it never stops! very good clearance with the lift kit it is actually better than a JK unlimited, and when you are back on road, it's soooooo confortable!
mods:
- Lovells lift kit (2") installed by Ramy4x4,
- GT wheels rims 16", Pirelli Scorpios
- Pace setter Cat Back,
- Air Raid bruteforce cold air intake,
- front and rear lights changed (LED and cat's eyes...)
- grill insert and hood deflector.
- Alpine radio/CD/USB/Bluetooth system
fixed since i have it.
- full service, full oil change (special viscosity for Quadradrive transmission), gaskets at 190,000km,
- transmission pinion bearings and carrier replaced
- front steering set: control arms, joint balls, steering damper, etc... no more death wobble.
- AC Fan replaced... then the all AC in summer 2015... by WM. Cost a fortune (5 figures invoice before discount ), but what's the point to have a car if you cannot use it for 8 months a year. This said, works super nice now and can sell without a shame.
- Cruise control fixed.
- Steering whell pump replaced + belt. Another 2.5kAED... (dec 2015)
- Oil leak fixed (May 2016) and full service,
- bumpers painted to pass muroor renewal (May 2016)
of course, the car has the wear and tears for the age, but it's not made for beauty contest. Its natural habitat is the desert!
Went through Murror without any issue at all. Insured at Axa for 800AED
What you would have to do if you are maniac or like to DIY:
- the driver electric seat does not adjust anymore up and down, though the engine is still working (it's stuck)
- rear wiper is not working.
- In time, go for more agressive tires. The Pirelli scorpio are not threaded enough for the power of the car.
price asked: price adjusted,it needs to go... 20,000AED, or nearest offer...
Car has 212,000 km on the clock now...
