As the new season just started and a lot of desert trips will be planed, once or twice a week, all the members & there rides should be ready.
To start, and first of all, your vehicle should be ready! How?
• Do the regular maintenance, No oil, Coolant, Hydraulics, or fuel leaks.
• Check the condition of all the hoses, pipes, and their connections.
• No Unusual sounds coming from any where of your Vehicle.
• Check the condition of the driving belts.
• Check the oil quantities at your vehicle Engine, gear box, Transfer case, front and aft differentials, power steering and adjust as requires.
• The tiers also should be in good condition.
• All safety belts must be working properly.
• A decent front & aft towing points.


Secondly
You must have recovery gear! What is that??
• Towing strap (snatch) and tow shekels. With minimum rating of double the weight of your Vehicle. Can be bought from ARB shop at Mussafah.
• A decent air compressor.
• Lifting jack ( the ordinary one can do the job)
• Jacking board 12'' X 12''
• Basic hand tools.
• Tier pressure gage.
• Tier defoliators.
• Small sand shovel.
• At least 5 liters of water.
• Hand gloves.
• Simple First Aid kit.
• Communication devices.
• Flag pole (recommended for intermediate level and above).
and not to forget the fire Extinguisher

Please don't assume your car has these - check if you have only just got your car or are new to the club, it'll only take a couple of minutes and well worth the time.
I only found out that my 2006 Jeep Liberty did not have them when I got stuck on my 2nd trip. Like most people I assumed they would be there.

If in doubt over any of your essential recovery and safety equipment please get one of the Marshals to double check it for you - I got Mpenzi to check out mine today just to be on the safe side.

Rated equipment = safety + peace of mind.
