Hello All,
This is a method to transfer "placemarks" from Google Earth to your Garmin GPS without having to manualy enter them to the GPS....which is a right pain to do manualy.
1) Find your route in Google earth and set placemarks marking your route
1) save your placemarks in a folder in Google Earth in "Places".
2) right click and save as "what ever file name you like.kml"
3) Use this website : http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input Select GPX, select the "what ever file name you like.kml" and hit convert.
4) Open the converted file in Mapsource (Garmin Software) and transfer to your GPS...job done.
this may work with other GPS software/setups...works for GARMIN handhelds and Mapsource anyway...saves lots of time!!!
