What do you do in case the floor board is damaged. Can you fix a new one or do you have to only weld a new piece??

I would have thought assuming you are talking about dents in the floor you could locate them from inside the car and knock them back out again. Depends where they are, you might have to remove a seat or something to get at the dent but it is possible providing the dents are not in a place thats double skinned i.e. on a monocoque type chassis but a typical body on chassis type vehicle are usually single skinned in which case it is repairable as described above.
