Newbie Trip 2nd March 2007

Post by iguana »

The trip was too long (For some people) .. Meeting in the morning at 9.00 a.m. 22 cars showed up. We head to Al Khatem where we deflated and started our trip under the leading of Khaiwi. The route was nice and easy, ever body enjoyed specially families. We reached the Net Tours camp at 1.00 where we played a little and then split into 3 Groups. One group went home, 2nd group want to an extreme trip and the thirs group went to meet the 2nd newbie group in the deflation point.

Another 10 cars showed up. we took the same route again 9I was leading this time   ). However we reached very early (4.00 p.m.). We decided to go back again from the same route ... And reached the final destination at 6.30..

Great company, met some new faces (Pinkcamel, Dragonuv, Simone, Takala and Desert stroller).
Cathrena (Mike0967 wife) was driving the afternoon trip and was great .. She deserve some stars   .
Sillywalks was following me on the afternoon trip trying to help me in finding an easy route.
Mpnezi and Jo are great as always.
Yellowmanta was trying his new Hilux.
Dutt with his car full of people (4 adults & 3 kids) with no problem. Switching drivers and enjoying.
Pink Camel has done a couple of jumps .. (Hope pics were taken)
Desert Stroller now knows that his car can go anywhere
Takala has done great job with his Explorer (Yehia we have another explorer now)
Frawstow – he didn’t change his bumper yet.

Lots and lots of names and fun... Thanks for everybody who joined the trip

Iguanna, Joe, Mpenzi, and all,

Thank you for a great trip. My in-laws from France loved this and we did, too (despite a few whines and cries from the kids). Gotta love the Fortuner. It pulled us all through the sand with ease.

I enjoyed it a lot too! I loved the part where we had to fight to get up that dune in the second trip!
I will post pictures later!

Cheers,

Thanks to every member I had the chance to meet during this trip and special thanks to Khaiwi for the nice route selected, it is one of the best routes for newbies to reach Net Tours camp.

Yes, this was the best part at all.

I really enjoyed the trip yesterday and it was nice to test the new engine without pushing it too much.
