The trip will be almost the same as the previous one. May be a different route to the camping area.
The drive is about 120kms to 150km towards Sweihan and Wadi Sumayni.

The route is easy, gravel / Black top and there is a plenty area for those who want to play in the sand dunes as shown here.

Jo will show us the Dinasour Bones at the fosil valley and we may visit other water pool at Khatwa and Abool. So bring in your cameras as this is a very scenic area.

Hi Mpenzi!! Would love to join in, but have to drive back in the evening. Would that be possible (i.e., is the camp site a bit furrther away from tarmac or somewhere nearby?)

Mirz,

you can easily drive back from the camp site, it's only 1/2km from Black top, although you would then have to go through an omani passport point or through the hatta mountains, it's a long drive but can be done

Thanks Doc for the info. The long drive back is not an issue, really. As long as one can seek his way back safely, without much botheration to others, should be just fine.
On another front, do we need to carry passports to get through ???

Hi Mirz,

since we are crossing the boarder, it is absolutely recommended to carry the PP.

I recomend to carry it.
