Newbies trip 13th June

Post by iguana »

32 cars met at BMW Maqta Bridge, drove to deflation point to meet Jo, tweety and Ultramind from Dubai along with Adiga and his friend to make the total 37 cars

split into 3 groups, Newbie, Intermediate and Advance

I had to lead at the request of the members, so I led the newbie trip while the Intermediate was done by Jo and teh Advanced by Offroad

I tried to get everybody stuck, but it seems that all were great drivers, and we only had 3 stucks during the trip and 2 tire pup outs ...

After the trip we all met again at the BBQ spot where all had a rest, chat and eat and off to the shower at home

It was windy, but we had a great trip

Great day - Great trip Iguana!

Enjoyed seeing so many members out today in the not too pleasant windy weather - but as usual we all had a great time.

And way to go Mrs H3  - you were having a ball out there today!

Not forgetting to say thanks to all those who contributed to the club by buying a raffle ticket - remember folks, if you ain't in it - you ain't gonna win it! :)

As usual a great day together with good friends. My guests really enjoyed the trip and the desert even though we decided to skip the BBQ and have the picnic at home instead.
And once again I had a new experience with my pop-out so all together a very interesting day.
I was a little disappointed that it was only three stucks to recover and I agree with Iguana - Gr8 job and gr8 driving. 8)
Already looking forward to the next weekend and today I will take my guests to Dubai

IT was nice too see so many people despite the windy weather.

thanks Iguana for leading and showing me how to use my new wrangler... No regrets at all for the change! but the problem is that my copilot wants to try driving now.

sorry to skip again the BBQ. I'm sure i missed T. Al Magboul advices regarding monkey business.

Another great day with the family.

Thanks Iguana for the afternoon out albeit in somewhat windy conditions. Had a great easy drive at the back of the newbie grooup watching as the leaders dissapeared into the dust.

Trip the chairman

... we had a good intermediate drive after beeing able to overtake the "traffic jam on the move". Seven intermediate and higher plus the three Marshals. The fun started with some gentle slopes, decents, cresting, uphill, downhills, sidesloping, digging, poppouts, stucks.... Crossing the Khatim area from north to south with all the sights to see including a group of three Gazhals (Abu Ghazal, Um Ghazal and Bin Ghazhal 8) ). Taking approx. 50km offroad at a decent speed (start at 16:00h and BBQ point at 18:45h).

Comments: Ultramind, your new ride is great; Kiwi, you must have Coffein in ur blood (early bird, afternoon and night drive); Halwa, thanks for sweeping and Khaiwi, no one pulls as gentle as you

Thanks and see you all next week
