Advance Trip in the Dunes of Nahil

Almost all members arrived on time. Marshal Roy had kindly agreed to support my first Advance Drive.

Also Marshal Amr (Fido Dido) surprised us by joining my drive for about first 45 mins, after which he had to leave to lead an intermediate convoy. It was a great pleasure to have him around us. Thank you very much Marshal Roy and Marshal Amr!

After our briefing we started towards the sabkha side and crossed into the medium sized dunes to the western side for initial warm up. We then crossed back into the bigger dunes on the other side of the Sabkha and played there for a good amount of time and practiced some decent side crests and switching over dunes, followed by some bowl runs, which were pretty bumpy that day.

In the last one hour of the trip we decided to cross the gatch and enter the Eastern side dunes of Nahil, where we found some interesting track to play around.

Waleed had a tyre problem during the halfway of the trip so we had to escort him to gatch to exit safely.

We ended our trip at 5.00pm safely at the gatch road. Everyone did very well, there were a few second tries and no stucks at all. In all it was a fantastic team of advance drivers who were capable in handling the track very well.
