Sunset Mega Trip at Nahil (Newbie/Anit)

We all met at the deflation point at 2.30pm. The convoys were split in three different convoys due to the large group of ANITs and NEWbies. ANIT was lead by Marshal Isham with Marshal Kamran’s support. Second convoy was lead by Marshal Irfan and third convoy was led by myself with support of Marshal Adiga.

This report will be for my convoy.

Few cars were ready on time and some of them were late.

We started our briefing at 2.30 PM and moved with our drive at 2.45 pm.

Convoy order was as follows:
Umar - FJ - Lead
Ghayas - 2nd Lead (Intermediate)
Omer Salam - (Newbie)
Ubaid - (Newbie)
Rustam - (Newbie)
Emaad - (Newbie)
Qurat - Sweeper (Intermediate)

We started on flat gatch and headed towards Sweihan and after Sabkha we turned right starting with relatively easy dunes so that everyone can get comfortable with their cars and also the track. After sometime we increased the level and started to do some challenges in the form of sharp straight crests. There were multiple stucks and all the recoveries were handled very professionally.

On the way back towards deflation/BBQ point, Marshal Adiga took the lead to give convoy a bit more challenging experience on the dunes and overall it was a fun ride back. Just before reaching the deflation point, we had a pop out of one car (Jimny)) which was efficiently fixed by the convoy drivers.

Overall All the drivers performed well during the drive, Ghayas Bahi thanks for being solid second lead and Qurat thank you for sweeping the convoy well.

We all reached our regular BBQ point just before sunset. Some of us stayed there and some headed back home.

Many thanks for arranging the trip, it was fun with challenges at the same time. We did had a three cars recovery ( one recovering got stuck and then recovered by third) experience also which added to the experience list. Thanks for the trust and opertunity for the second lead. Adiga is always an inspiration and learning experience.
