The morning started smoothly with Thomas as second lead, followed by our intermediates, Asif as sweeper and range as overseer. We entered the sands settling in to a smooth drive around the dunes but the day turned into an eventful trip with many of the features offroaders have to learn to deal with: stucks, second tries, popouts, mechanical issues and towing a car across dunes and out of the desert. As always everyone pulled together as a team and did what was needed and once the learning how to deal with challenges was over we set off back into to dunes for fun around the dunes before arriving back at the inflation point.

Thanks Thomas and Asif for being reliable as second lead and sweeper, Rene for solid support and a fine part lead, and to all intermediates; good driving and great teamwork by all. Keep it up.

Nevertheless, it was a good drive and we covered >40kms albeit all the hiccups. Thanks Michael and Rene for the excellent lead and support.

Thanks for organising and leading the morning trip to Bu Tais, Michael. Eventful trip, with some good driving and practicing side slipping and soft sand, combined with car breakdown and recovery and a couple of pop outs - all good fun and part of the learning. All drivers did well and I enjoyed the fun of part leading. Stay safe.
