Support: Pearlygates59 (Matt), Bomolin (Borja)

Great Advance: cabf (Charlie), Hamour80 (Malek), SBAHI (Ahamad)

It was a foggy morning when all eager participants met at the deflation point. As the fog began to lift we wound our way to the sands of Bu tais and after a briefing we established convoy order and set off with Borja as second lead, followed by our adventurous advance and sweeper Matt keeping order at the back.

We started slowly to allow the new advance to get the feel of riding and transitioning crests. We then lifted the level and started to ride larger and higher crests and soon all were showing confidence and a basic mastery of cresting. With the presence of breaks and set-piece practices to allow feedback and rest during our flowing drive through the dunes, the advance drivers did very well. For their first trip at the level, the retries and stucks demonstrated maturity and a willingness to learn with a safety first mentality. Well done. A good start to advance level driving.

A trip into the sand is always a good way to start the weekend, with a great group of advance drivers, sound communication and assistance from both Borja as a marvellous second lead and Matt for an ever dependable and solid sweep making it more enjoyable still.

See all again soon.
