Trip Report Newbie Season End /13th Club Anniversary

The “season end trip / club anniversary trip went from AlKhazna towards Sweihan. We met at the Khazna deflation point 13:30. Marshals Scorpionita and Desert Ghost and Thomas Oosthuizen cancelled due to various reasons before the trip start. One driver simply did not show up, without cancelling….
Weather was nice this day. As we had an Anit joining, I had an extensive briefing, then we took off, Mira-M as 2nd lead, followed by desertbus, Marlaw1881 and irfpk was acting sweeper. The Khazna area is nice and suitable for all levels drives, it is easy to safely navigate between the big impressive dunes. Our Anit quickly came into the desert mode and was doing well, good coaching by irfpk. We had actually only few stucks, but none needed strap recovery, the LC diff locks did the job. We took some breaks on the way, last one at the “Asifs trees”. After that, we headed towards the sabkha fence, found a hole and took the sabkha back towards the Sweihan road, when the trip ended 17:30. After inflation we went to the Sweihan Tilan camp for the gathering.
Thanks to support, Irfan for sweeper and Mira for 2nd lead. Marwan – you did well in your first drive and looking forward to see you in coming newbie drives. Marc – well done too, see you next time.
