Intermediate Friday Morning Escapades: 8/2/2019

Able Intermediates: Ishampn (mohammed), Kamran143 (Kamran) & Snaware (Sunil)
Everyone arrived on time at the deflation point. Thanks to those who let me know they couldn't make it.
After the safety briefing, we set off in convoy order with Falcon_83 as second lead, followed by the Kamran, Sunil and Mohammed Isham and Armin as sweeper. We moved into the open dunes and warmed up by swooping around the the larger open dunes and establishing a pace, comfortable for all drivers to enjoy the first section of the morning. After stopping to practice different side sloping techniques we continued on our way swooping, side-sloping and playing on the open white sands of Khatim and Khazna. We arrived at the well known rest trees of Khazna to chat, have tea and consider part 2 of the morning. Having made good progress we decided to head on to Sweihan, however as we headed into the larger dunes of the area a kindly volunteered popout allowing our intermediates to gain their requested popout signature, meant a change of plan and a return to Khatim.
Nevertheless, going back did not alter the fun quotient, we picked the pace and rollercoasted our way swooping, and practicing the different sloping styles necessary for the intermediate drivers to move to the advanced level. After a great homeward leg we arrived at our inflation point at 11:40.
A marvellous morning. The intermediates all showed excellent improvement through the morning. Gaining confidence and judging momentum and vehicle positioning for the changes in dune formation well. You are all demonstrating very good potential.
A great second lead by Mohammed (Falcon_83) and as always the reliable and competent Armin maintained the integrity of the convoy from the back. And a big thanks to Testinwork for his always useful advice along the way. Thanks guys.
