Thanks to all who registered and attended this trip KiwaussieChick, Jax, Avan, Halwa and Lucknow... we reached the entry point (15 minutes from Musaffah Adnoc) deflated and quickly started the drive, I can say its an extension to Musaffah sands,,,, the same type of sand, all small soft sand dunes with sharp slopes, cant be easier to take newbies to.....

Well, it shouldn't be a boring trip should it? so we had to do some play and take nice photos till we picked up a nice dune with a very romantic sunset view....very very nice bunch of offroaders with their families and friends. Thanks Caro for callin for such a quicky trip, Jax for the sweets and lovely coffee (Sugar free, so kind of you). Temperatuure was dropping we couldn't really stay more, so headed back to the tarmach via tracks and kissed goodbye (well virtually)...

You know I hate newbie trips but things do change.

Look forward to the pictures...... akhaiwi@eim.ae

Khaiwi & all,

Thank you soooo much for tonight! What fun, eh? Glad we still had some of Khaiwi's secret spice (LOL!) in what is definitely a great cruisy newbie area & sooooo close too!

Jax, the coffee was truly needed as the coolness set in! brrrrr! You're a gem! Halwa & Avan (the fellow 'nationals') added a nice touch to the trip too! And thanks to Lucknow (who I believe has now unlocked his steering!!) for sweeping 2nite!

My passenger is still grinning & thinking now of making another pilgrimage in 2008 that coincides with a fun day trip! I think he's been bitten by the AD4x4 bug!!....

Can't wait to publish the photos - but Santa beckons just now....

Merry Christmas!

Caro

What a fantastic way to spend Christmas Eve - Thanks Caro for calling the trip, Khaiwi for doing us the honour of leading us, Geoff for sweeping (& being the 1st to check out my towing hooks  ) - and everyone else for your great company.
Can't wait to see the pic of my Wrangler flying!

I'll also take this opportunity to wish everyone in my new extended family in AD4x4:
Merry Christmas - Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all men.

Am writing under Hummergirls login as I cant seem to log in at the moment.....Thanks to all (particularly Khaiwi) - this was truly a nice evening out....and a first for me - seeing a patrol, jeep and fellow landrover flying all in the same afternoon!

A nice area with Khaiwi making the most of the available dunes - something for everyone - thanks for the recovery Avan!

Merry Christmas to all - and here's to a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.

Mac,

Entry coordinates are approx:

N24 07 06.5
E54 25 10.1

There are plenty of open flat areas to glide along as well as the dunes and another set of slightly larger dunes that Khaiwi said were about 7km away that we didn't have time to make it before sunset...

Cheers!
Caro
