Trip Report newbies NOT-- Eid trip 2- Sweihan to Showeib
What a nice day, like none before, what a great bunch of guys and real goooood drivers,,,,, I was so glad to lead such a group of our AD4x4 family...FABULOUS day out with all what the meaning could have.
Was so much impressed seeing the change in the the driving skills "to the better" of our members, like watching your babies grow,,,, Many, many thanks to H3, BAZ and Uristier for the help and support, and for all the members who joined me today.
After refeuling in Sweihan ADNOC, we reached the deflation point and hit the white soft sand of Sweihan,,, plenty of soft spots "Sand I mean" tricky and challenging dunes, I was continuously increasing the level but to my surprise barely anybody got stuck going through medium sized dunes doing cresting, side sloping and several side cresting as well..... All was great till I decided to put all on the cliff reveiling their "butts" hahahaha had our lunch after pulling out and a quick drive to the exit point near ADNOC in Showeib.....
Simply another wonderful day with AD4x4 to remember...

Oh la la, another exciting trip with our Chief.
The early birds meeting at Carrefour got a big bag of interesting driving including free stucks, excellent company and shade under the only tree within a 50 km circle during the lunch break. My no show pax really missed a wonderful family day.
Thank you Khaiwi for taking us through the nice dunes with a great lead. I enjoyed every centimetre.
A whimsically smiling Chief made us all stop atop a dune for a special lesson (how to get a car quickly full of sand). It was a great lesson and I think nobody would miss it.
After the break we continued floating over and around the dunes and I returned to reality when we hit the tarmac road for inflating the tires. The drive back to Abu Dhabi into a crimson sunset completed another wonderful family day.
Thanks to everybody for this perfect day.

what a fantastic trip with fantastic people in fantastic cars, 4 jeeps, 2 nissans, 1 LC and 2 Hummers, all were very actively involved in a chain of stucking and recovery activities with a very active and practical lesson from the marshal. a Long and interseting route with so many slide sloapings and challanging dunes ups and downs.
Khaiwi, thanks for making this EID VERY SPECIAL AND DIFFERENT.

THE STORY BEHIND THIS IS THAT AFTER RECOVERING SO MANY CARS URS HIMSELF STUCK AND I TRIED TO PULL HIM OUT BUT I COULD NOT AND I GOT STUCK TOO , THEN THE RED HUMMER CAME AND SAVED US BOTH.adiga wrote:I'm so happy when I see you all happy

Dear Khaiwi,
Gotta luuuuurv your 'newbie NOT' trips - they absolutely rock - and it was truly a privilege to be part of this one!!!
What a fabulous group of people to share the drive with too! The dunes were like poetry as we glided along the crests; we also played with a few 'bowls' & had truly awesome fun with a few long runs!
Thank you, thank you, thank you all!!!
My only question now is "When's the next trip???!!!" :woo:
PS. Urs - do you have any further advice for that wheel that's not turning??? LOL!!! It appears the swiss believe they have a sense of humour, eh???

I just can follow the posts that are already here about that trip - it was one of the very best trips I was allowed to attend - ever! (not only in the UAE!)
Thank you very much Khaiwi for leading us on trails of pure fun, delight and enjoyment and adding exactly that extra dose of fun to make it a truly unique and beautiful day we will remember for a very long time! This grin in my face will last quite a while
But it were also the people in the group who made this a real special one. Everything was so relaxed and smooth it just kept on flowing. Thank you all, dear trip members
I wish we all could continue in exact that mood and in the same way! *sigh!*
Hope to see all of you out there very soon again!

Thanks Khaiwi, what a great trip,
I really enjoyed every minute of the day, and everyone worked well together. I did wonder if myself, Khaiwi and KWAC were the only ones going to have any lunch (i think that was when Uristier got stuck) but they soon all joined us and we had a very chatty and friendly lunch.
See you all very soon
