Me and two of my old friends left Abi Dhabi just after working hours and heading for Turtle Beach in Oman.
As we past the Boarder in Mezyad we headed for NIZWA and we camped at the bottom of Jabel aldhar. This is the morning
After the breakfast we drove all the way to the top of Jabel Aldhar and this is the way is up there
After that we had toward Wahiba sands and drove all the way to SUR where we camped and wait for the Night to watch the Turtles laying eggs. As Flash was not allowed so i manage to photo onlty this turtle laying her hundreds of eggs.
The next morning we drove all the way from Sur Mascat and we took the East cost where we saw the ancient 15th century momuments and fishing Villages
Constraction works for the new Highway
We drove all the way to Ras Al Sawadi where we spend the Night before heading back home.
It was a wonderful trip and Oman is very Nice and petrol is cheaper than here .

The trip of a life time like those Turtles.

Hey Mpenzi, is the pic of the ruined ?mosque at Qalhat ? - I read they are building a huge development there, like the Bandar Jissah resort - hotels, luxury residence etc. etc. - its so beautiful in its natural state now, so if anybody has any doubts, get down to Oman and this area before it disappears.....

Thanks guys
This is the Must trip for those who preciate nature and a bit of history.
The ruins are Qalhat village are dated back to 15th century where this town was the centre of the trade between Oman, Gulf , India Iran and East Africa.
I think this was also the area where spread of Islam started. According to the Off-Road Oman book that is the Tomb of a holly lady called Bibi Maryam and the tomb is surrounded by the other grave yard.
The road will be Tolled when it completed and it cut time from Muscat to Sur and to Salalah .
Beutiful place.
