Absolute Newbies Report. Friday 14th September

Post by Mac »

Well here we are back safe & sound once again. A hectic trip with many stucks, but that is what this learning trip was all about. We had a total of 18 cars with 10 Newbies. We began with basic instructions about vehicles, equipment, safety, club rules and the basic driving skills then off we went through the soft sands of Musafah.
Towards the end we had a slight communications problem about who had left, but overcame this and everyone survived the day.
It was great meeting all of our brand new members. Pologuru, PinkPanther, Jax, Agama, Sakura and Tony S. I hope you enjoyed it and learned something for future trips. To all of the more experienced members who helped me thanks very much, especially Bradley, Lucknow, Uristier, Iguana, Megamoe and Khalid. We couldn,t have run the trip today without the Marshals involvement.
G-Man thanks for the cancellation message.
Thanks Mac.

I have requested one, but Moe will do it after Iftar and a well deserved rest I think.

Big THANK YOU to Mac, Iguana, and the rest of the guys - we had such a great time.... and despite being the first to stick, at least we were not the last ! the more we stick the more we learn... sooooo impressed with the warm welcome in the dunes today... it was toooo short... now we want to do more!!! Thank you again, you made us feel most welcome and the advice and help was top banana!

Only problem is now I want a Jeep so that I can do my own thing.... could be an expensive year for the Polo/Panther family I think!!

I have some pix and vid to post.... how ?
