Some members joined as the convoy started moving from the meeting point, but….
In the sand, we deflated the tires followed by a detailed briefing. Our first stage target was Ali’s Ghaf Tree Coffee Shop.
The Newbies did well showing their competence with second tries or technical stops. The two little passengers made good use of their “construction equipment” during the brakes.
A planned stop for taking an eye full of the awesome view of the sea of sand. We could see the smoke from Ali’s coffee shop showing us the direction to go.
We enjoyed a well deserved break before floating back to civilisation in three quarter time and my Berliner passenger enjoyed Johann Strauss Waltz in the Arabian Desert in a Japanese car driven by a Swiss driver.
Finally we arrived back to civilisation safe and sound and… on time.
I was good to see old and new faces and I enjoyed the drive with you. It was relaxing and I charged my body batteries for another week at work.

Re: Relax in Sweihan – Trip Report
What a trip it was!! Enjoyed it from very beginning till the inflation point
Thanks a lot Uristier for sharing your knowledge about the dunes and your theory about Miss Gravity
Heindrun , having Madeleine in the Desert was amazing
We really had the chance to witness some nice spot and my dad for his first ever trip really enjoyed it .
he even had a chance to put himself in trouble!
As Uristier told him when he wanted to give me back the wheel and renounce: a good driver can put himself in trouble but will always get himself out of it!
See you all soon

Re: Relax in Sweihan – Trip Report
Hi Uristier, great trip, thanks. We covered a lot of ground and kept moving, and saw some new dunes. I particularly enjoyed the play-time, though now I'm hooked on getting ever higher ....
Thanks again, Black Bird (Nigel)

Thankyou Uristier,
I enjoyed the trip and also the time and dunes for the little playtime. I finally used my snatch rope and also was happy to learn a bit about self recovery.
thanks
Charan
