Trip report: Catch the worm in Sweihan II

Post by Uristier »

We catched the worm in Sweihan. :chicken:

9 cars left AD @ 4.30 for meeting with 4 Dubai gang members in Sweihan. After fuelling up the 4-wheeled coloured boxes, deflation, camel ride and briefing we hit the sand at 6.30.

Some warm up miles into a fresh morning and more challenging dunes attracted our attention. Well time for our “work horse of the day” to get in action. Clear and precise commands “reverse – go right – stop stop” ect were clearlly traceable to Mac’s radio.

We had some technical stops for checking recovery points, snatch straps and shakles on a variety of cars.

Luckily we found the "dune & camel" coffee shop open and stopped for a desperately needed coffee (Cappuchino) brake (our work horse got exhausted). Fresh invigorated we continued to the play area, specially for our TSP (Tweety – Sweepy – Playgirl).

Because of the technical stops we extended the “desert time” and arrived sound and smiling at ADNOC Sweihan.

Nice early morning and great people made this another remarkable AD4x4 drive.

Se you all next time

Cheers
Uristier

Urs

Thanks for a fab morning out of driving and open air class room. An easy start but some fun stuff thrown in to fun us all. The stop at the "dune & camel" coffee shop proved to be a big hit especally the scrumpious snacks that were provided.

... great morning excercise. The best early morning drive ever .....

Sweihan made a great performance today featuring AD4x4.

Thanks Urs, Mac, Waleed and TSP (sounds like some Playstation add-on 8) ).

Hope to see you all next weekend again..

Sorry Urs!

By the time I heard the alarm tick off in my dreams, I knew it was too late to even start.

So sorry if I kept any of you guys waiting.
