Sunrise Newbie Trip Report

New experience! Sunrise in the desert! We all met in the meeting point, where we deflated and had our briefing in the dark(except for karam who didn't show up. Thank you Hadeel and Manae for informing me that you won't be able to make it).With the first beam of light we started moving, after setting up the convoy (both convoys moved together Newbie and Intermediate). Corbie was the second lead and Patrice (Bobocmaster) was the official sweeper, while Marshal Rami was watching over the sides of the convoy. Bawi and Khaled were the supporting team.Appreciate your support guys. We drove on the gatch road towards the water tank dune, we went up the dune where we enjoyed the sunrise along with some manakesh and coffee. Both convoys gathered for breakfast and a small chit-chat. We took a few shots and then started our trip. We stated cruising the small to medium dunes of Al Khitm. We had a few second tries and a couple of stucks. However, all the drivers did well and were able to manage their cars. Trip ended in Al Faya at around 8 am.

An experience to remember.

Great Fun in an area I’ve only been a few times. Thank you for a great track and putting all this together. I was presently surprised at the number of people that set alarms for an early morning on their weekend. Breakfast on the dune was delicious!! And I’m sure if the clouds had cooperated the sun rise would have been glorious. Thank you in the confidence in me as Second lead and Patrice as sweeper. Thanks to the senior members for the support. My favorite part was winching the 4 Runner off the top of the dune.

Thanks a lot Bisho (congrats also for your new function in the club without forget missobisho) for this terrific windy and sandy morning.... I realy apprecied the track particuliarly the second part.... A warm shoukran jazilan to all the support team.... the impressive show you all made in the brake playing area consolidated my effort to progress in the different level... Congrats Corbie for his management as second lead.... Winch recovery?.... Check....... Thank also Patrice to have taken the sweeper job... French pirates forces... Hope to see all of you soon in the dunes...
