Report Let's Rock! Intermediate DXB 31/8 AM

Post by Abdeslam »

Trip lead: Abdeslam
Supporting Marshal: Pharao
Support: Bhav

Great Rock Stars:
Nessa
Yvpilot

Georges and Tiago were unfortunately not able to make it.

Arriving on the scene some time before the meeting time, it was clear that some people were very eager to hit the sand: Nessa and Yvpilot were desperately trying to force the air out of their tyres while Bhav was already ahead in the sand warming up for the trip.

Soon also our supporting Marshal arrived, coming all the way from Al Ain.
Briefing was held short and to the point and then we hit the sand.

Lead Abdeslam, second lead Bhav, then Nessa, followed by Yvpilot sweeping the convoy, with our Marshal surveying with a critical eye from the sides.

We warmed up at big red, then took off towards pink rock. On the way surfing on the dunes, here and there a modest side slope.
The team did great! Our supporting Marshal's critical eye was getting tired from searching for any imperfections so he decided just to relax and enjoy the trip.

Area was already getting crowded with other vehicles so we took off and continued to Al Faya bowl for some serious side sloping. Nessa took over the sweeping position and Yvpilot moved to the front.
We tried to find as many untouched dunes as possible to leave our tracks while dune surfing and side sloping our way to Camel Rock, and finally finishing our trip at Fossil Rock at 11 AM.

Was a warm but still enjoyable morning.

Bhav, thank you for taking the second lead. Good job.!
Yvpilot, you and your pajero rock! You did great keeping up with the jeeps! Great sweeping; just keep a bit more communication with the trip leader.

Nessa, what to say.. sweeping was very professional and accurate. The driving was just excellent!. You are a talented driver.

Pharao, thank you so much for your support.

See you all soon in the sand inchaallah!

Abdeslam

What can I say .... it was certainly an amazing morning with such a lovely group of people.

Abdeslam, thank you for organizing this amazing trip, excellent choice of track. Glad to support you anytime Bro, looking forward for your coming trip :coool:

Bhav, Yvpilot, Nessa you all did great... with the spices Abdeslam was throwing here and there throughout the trip you were all able to handle perfectly. Keep it up.

Exceptional sweeping Nessa, keeping an eye on the whole convoy (including the Marshal :P ) and always keeping the leader informed. Well done !

See you all soon on the dunes :ad4x4:

A fantastic, fast and tight track through a very pretty and mountainous desert. The driving breaks were timely and surrounded by stunning scenery. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Thank you Abdeslam for pulling off such gem of a trip. Thank you to Marshal PHARAOH for your "fatherly" support ... . And, great to see Nessa and Yvpilot rocking the soft sand.
