Thank you to everyone who joined this trip as well as the support given by our Marshals and Explorers. We all met at Al Faya Petrol station, however, we had to wait for a few members. An anit (Fayaz) also arrived, since he was already there the team decided to let him in on this trip (keeping a special eye on him). Moving time was a bit delayed, which was around 19: 45.
The convoy consisted of 9 participants and 5 supporters (Chief Khaiwi, Moe, Sand Storm, Scorpionita, FidoDido)
At the deflation point, we gave the safety briefing, explained to everyone the program of the night, then we started our cruise through the dunes, Marshal Moe was my passenger, Moe did a very good job of being my navigator and helping to control the convoy.
We kept the drive very basic because of the joining Anit but that didn't exclude some of the technical obstacles, during the cruise we had a few stucks here and there, including myself where I went through a steep descent followed by small elevation, as my car is not lifted, I didn't have enough clearance and my bumper shovel the sand, I could add some the speed in order to not get stuck with the risk of taking my bumper off, but our aim to go out SAFELY and THIS IS WHAT WE TEACH.
Thank you to my experienced second lead Sand Storm who changed the Track towards left for a smoother angle for the rest of the members, Khaiwi Hulk recovered my beast
Later on, toward the end, Sand Storm and I switched roles to give the convoy a different taste of driving as Sand Storm was more experienced in that particular section.
We all reached safely to our inflation point in Al Khatim, some members decided to leave early, Me, Sandstorm, Moe, Lazy Pilot, Fido Dido and Scorpionita decided to Drive back through the dunes to Al Faya led by Sand Storm (great track buddy).
All members, especially the Newbies exceeded my expectations, well-done guys, I am very impressed with your driving skills and everyone's spirit, the same applies to Fayaz the new Anit, who is now a very well deserved Newbie, a special thanks to Scorpionita who dedicated herself to keep an eye on Fayaz and to take care of him. Chief Khaiwi kept an eye on everyone
Last and not least, hats off to our swiper FidoDiDo for doing a great job at the back and giving the feedback during the cruise.
