Saturday Morning But Tais the Red RPM

As I finished my Night drive with Marshal Tompa in Bu Tais I camped alone there waiting for the next day of Saturday morning trip which I will be leading in Bu Tais.

My support Marshal was Borja.

The trip had a registration of 5 drivers to attend, but unfortunately not all of them were able to make it, so we ended up with minimum 3 cars as it shows below:

1- Expert Waleed
2- Expert Magedy
3- Marshal Borja

Trip was supposed to start 8am, But we had to wait for Magedy and we started at 8:45, I decided to do some warm up and slowly increased the level to hit some of the big Dunes, unfortunately Magedy cars had some temperature issues since the level was high. Marshal Borja 4wheel had some issue but it was under control and he was able to continue the trip.

The trip was supposed to finish 12pm. However, Magedy asked if we can finish at 11am because his car doesn’t have enough fuel.

We hit the cadash road at 10:45 heading out of Bu Tais.

Thanks for the attendance and thanks for marshal Borja for the support.

I thought I missed your trip but now I feel it was better I didn’t drive until Bu tais for such a short trip. It really surprised me that somebody come to Bu tais for an advance drive without enough petrol?

This is an Expert and above trip.. Hope everyone will fill enough gas before the drive which is the basic necessity for all trips. … Mechanical issue is unpredictable that is understandable… Weekend drive is a one week time management plan for off-roading fun regardless family and personal commitments for everyone... On a positive note👍💪

It is important that fuel is topped up prior to starting the drive. This is one of the basic rules and stopping to sort out the issue will delay others. I suggest the leaders of each drive ensure that there is a reminder to all to ensure they have enough fuel.

Very brave to camp alone Waleed! :)

I've learned as a Newbie always to fill up the tank before going into the desert. You never know...
It's also a good idea to have some spare water, especially in the hot season.
