6 drivers met up for a fun advance drive in the west part of Sweihan on the Saturday morning. We met at deflation point around 8 AM (as I managed to send out wrong coordinates, so it took some more time than anticipated to find the meeting point but after some time we all managed).

After deflation and short brief convoy was set up with Desertdriver (Gerhard) as 2nd lead followed by The Baron (Rene’), Miro (Amir), petro (Kevin) and Mira-M (Mira) as sweep.

We started to drive the dunes parallel to the big farm, heading towards Khazna deflation point in the far distance. Pretty soon we reached the first bowl (which is huge….) where we practiced some sloping and even cresting. Everybody did really well here so we continued in the same style cresting small and bigger dunes and slide sloping. Great fun terrain here. Around 11 AM we reached the Kidney bowl. This one is just amazing, several big bowls are connected and we jumped from one to the other with smiles on our faces. After mastering the Kidney bowl, we went down to the gatch road and followed the farm fence all the way to Khazna deflation point, which reached around 11:45.

Advance drivers, you did amazingly well. It was a pleasure to have the lead today.

Great trip and lead - really enjoyed the track and the dunes. Good opportunity to practice cresting and side slooping on some big dunes. Look forward to the next trip in this area.
