TripReport Sweihan by Night 5th edition Intermediates 6 Dec

Eight drivers met up at Sweihan wedding hall 7:15PM Thursday 6 December to explore Sweihan desert by night. We rolled towards deflation (BBQ) point already 7:20PM. Driver number 9 met up at the deflation point.
After briefing the convoy was set up with Geert as 2nd lead followed by loefflmj1 (Mark), petro (Kevin), Billet (Ajesh), futureshock999 (Robert), dsalas (David), Rumblebee (Mike) and sweeper kman (Konstantin).
The goal was to practice safe Intermediate night driving and reach all the way to the Nagra dune. We started out nice and easy in the lower dunes and after some time reached the power lines and gatch road. From there took direction towards Nagra and tried to follow an easy track. That succeeded almost all way to Nagra where we (hmm I) got a bit lost and we ended up in some quite exciting terrain which took some second tries, but the drivers sorted this out with no problems. Finally, we did reach the Nagra dune trees at around 945 PM, took a break there, turned off the cars and looked at the star sky, was very nice.
The route back was easier and around 1040 PM we were back at the deflation/inflation point.
Special thanks for support by kman as sweeper and 2nd lead Geert. All driver did very well and I think we all learned something this drive
