Trips during Ramadan

Hi all,
Rather than spoil Taher's great post about the meaning of Ramadan, I will post this separately for our new members.
YES, trips continue in Ramadan. It may be that many of our Muslim brothers & sisters do not join during the day, but we run some trips in the late afternoon and they join us for Iftar in the desert, which are unforgettable experiences.
If you plan a trip in the late afternoon, ALWAYS pick a BBQ spot near to a road/track as those joining us bring food/tables etc but may not go off roading. so easy access is required where deflation is not necessary.
There are also night drives for Intermediates and above.
Early morning drives can also take place.
Can I call on our non Muslim Marshals/Explorers/Advanced to help out during this period, expected to be 1st-30th September.
It is also good manners that WE also observe Ramadan and do not drink/eat/smoke, openly in front of our Muslim members, if you wish to do so, do it in your car privately.
I leave for UK on 11th September for a couple of weeks but will try and get a couple of trips in before this if my Jeep is done by then.
Thanks, Mac.
