Dear Members,

first please read here:

http://www.sema.org/sema-news/2011/05/u ... ess-system

In a nut shell, on tuesday the 17th of april, SEMA is hosting a conference in the Yas Island Crown PLaza between 20 the local 4x4 parts suppliers and 20 of their members to explorer/discuss future business of this market here in the UAE. furthermore SEMA is working together with the UAE on finally legalising modification in the UAE.

I've been asked by the SEMA representative to show case 10 modified 4x4 during the day at the backyard of the crown plaza during the BBQ that will happen after the conference, therefore i will need 10 members to confirm they can drop their cars at 1:00PM in crown plaza yas isalnd and come back at 7:00 PM for the BBQ. you will get a chance to have a one on one conversation with the founders of top American 4x4 offroad products manufacturers.

How it works, register her with a pic of your modified car. i will only select the top 10 modified 4x4. priority is for American brands.

Please note that your car has to be heavily modified to qualify. a standard lift kit and fender flares with big tires will not qualify.

Confirmed members so far:

2- Antrax JK
3- Mubarak Nissan patrol 5.7
4- Western Motors Tornado JK

The FJ is more American than Japanese I guess. They don't even sell it in Japan, or do they ?

As far as I know, they don't sell it in EU only, not sure about Japan, but the biggest market for it is the US

Guys, I just spoke to Hani (antrax) and he mentioned to me the following regarding vehicles for SEMA.

SEMA wants something more complex than just a Lift Kit, fenders, and bumpers. The Lady from SEMA explicitly told Hani and myself that they want Heavily Modified hence something along the lines of below:

- Modified Engine (turbo, super etc...)
- Complete suspension , (e.g. lifts which include complete suspension kits with control arms/long arms, coilover setup with the arms, etc... )
- axle swaps
- Ring and pinion
- Engine Swaps
- Monster tires

You get the picture, let me know if you have more questions or if you cannot get a hold of Hani (antrax). he just told me that he wont be able to answer since he is out and about for the hour. Ill try my best to assist but at the end of the day he is the one who will be choosing the car/4x4s.

cheers guys,

WW
